PRE-SCHOOL MINISTRIES
Nursery
First Baptist Church of Kingsland’s nursery is available for infants and toddlers up through age 2. (Children 3 and older are encouraged to participate in our Preschool Worship , Mission Friends, and Awana program). Our nursery is a caring, nurturing environment where your child can experience God's love. It provides parents the opportunity to worship, knowing that their young children are in a safe place. Experienced caregivers serve in the Nursery. The Nursery is available during all regular church services. The nursery will open 15 minutes prior to the beginning of a church function and will close 15 minutes after the event is over.
First Time Visitors are asked to complete a registration form. Returning visitors and members are able to check in using our Checkpoint computer system. You will receive a nametag for your child and a matching security card for you. Children will only be released to the adult with the matching security card. The church is equipped with a system for contacting parents during services. Nursery workers are instructed that in case of an emergency or need, they should utilize the system to alert the parents. Parents are instructed to proceed to the nursery immediately if they are summoned.
We welcome you to stay until your child is comfortable, but keep in mind that most children settle in a few minutes after your departure. Many times the Nursery is the first place that a child experiences detachment from their parents, and we encourage you to take the time that is necessary for you and your child to adjust.
Pre-School Worship
For 3 - 4 year olds and is provided for our 10:15 morning service. Bible Teaching for Kids provides a balanced approach to central Bible concepts, essential Bible skills, and foundational Bible stories.
Awana – Cubbies
An incredible program for 3 years old (by Sept. 1st) – 4 year olds. Awana is fun with a purpose – to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand. This is provided on Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm, (New Time).
Mission Friends
For 3 – 5 year olds offered on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm. The primary objective of Mission Friends is to provide a strong foundation for preschoolers in a Christian and mission’s lifestyle.
Mission Friends provides developmentally appropriate missions learning experiences to help preschoolers move from a self-centered focus to a focus on others, to become aware that not everyone knows about God's love, and to understand ways they can help others know about this good news!
CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES
Children’s Church
A program for children Kindergarten-2nd grade. While parents are in Sunday morning worship, kids can have a great time having a church of their own. We read Bible stories, make crafts, sing, and participate in lots more. Come and have fun!
Awana – Sparks
The Awana club for children in kindergarten through second grade builds on the material taught in our preschool clubs. The curriculum takes kids a step deeper into God’s Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks. This program is offered on Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm, (New Time).
Awana – T & T
The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach third- through sixth-grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today’s young people will become tomorrow’s church leaders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow — today. This program is offered on Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm, (New Time).
